Vlad Vit is an experienced architect and project manager who offers unconventional and innovative designs, solid technical discipline and a strong business sense. He excels at both the art and science of architecture.
Vlad Vit holds a Masters of Science in Architecture and Town Planning from the Czech Technical University in Prague. This six-year intensive program gave him a solid background in architecture and interior design, and also structural and civil engineering, urban design and building economics. As a result, the design solutions he provides are both original and technically sound.
As the owner of a successful design/build firm for more than 20 years, Vlad Vit developed a strong understanding of the business side of building. Known for his hands-on approach, he brings a commitment to quality and a keen eye on the budget for every project. His designs are highly practical and governed by both the user and the environment. Vlad Vit knows what sells… and he knows how to create it.
Vlad Vit’s designs incorporate elements of romantic functionalism, distinguished by the organic grouping of rooms, free form, the use of wood and stone both outside and in, and diverse sensual details. In the words of the great Alvar Aalto, “There has to be a unity between the interior and the exterior of our homes like an elegant, ceremonial form.” Vlad Vit seeks to create a free flow – the yard is an extension of the interior, an outdoor living space, and natural materials are used indoors. The relationship between indoors and out is charged with ambiguity.
Vlad’s versatility and expertise in urban design can be seen in master plans recently completed for a resort community in the Barbados and a health spa resort community in the Czech Republic. Working in partnership with an architect colleague, Vlad Vit created the master plan for a residential area in the Dubailand amusement park in the United Arab Emirates. He has a strong interest in resort, retirement and health spa facilities planning.
“I design and build each project as if it’s for myself. The quality, the function, the look and the feel must all meet my very high standards.”
